Wow, what a fun day of shooting with L & C !
The engagement shoot for Lori and Craig was on the most perfect, unexpectedly sunny autumn day. We started out in Columbus Circle, and then meandered over to Central Park where we frolicked along various romantic spots (at least they did). Then we head over to L&C's apartment change, but on the way back we found 8th avenue with no cars due to a street fair! Hence we got this great shot of Craig's natural and masculine dip of Lori. They were such a fun couple to work with, willing to try different things, and very natural...I saw just what 8 years (correct me if it's MORE!), of being together can bring to an engagement session. So that was very encouraging.
It felt like we went all over town and just had a blast trying out different things to name a few:
Chelsea Market, Highline, random wine bar that we ran into and the rooftop in midtown with the amazing view!
With the weather being so nice and the couple being so easy to work with, this was definitely one of the most enjoyable engagement shoots I've done. And thank you, Lydia Kim, my trusted equipment holder, 2nd shooter, and human tripod for helping me out and risking your life holding strobes on top of a bridge.
Doing photography in the aesthetically dynamic NYC is one of the reasons why it will be difficult to migrate back to CA.
